July is the sixth anniversary of the Shades of Grey Awards. To celebrate being around so long I'm mostly going to be giving the judges this round off. Also, I won't be around nearly as much in July as I usually am and can get awards up faster in August if I don't return and have to tally scores and find fill in judges and such at the last minute. So, this round will be mostly by popular vote with a whole new, special set of categories to recognize some things we don't usually have a chance to award.
There are changes in the rules for this round as well. Not all of them, though, I will still need to get confirmation from the nominees before I can accept a nomination. I also won't accept nominations if you don't follow the rules or read the category descriptions first, so make sure to check both before nominating.
To avoid getting emails about updates to the site, my goal is to update once a week. Most likely on Wednesdays, possibly on Thursdays. If I have extra time there will be weekend updates, however, I can't promise anything. Also before emailing me asking about when voting begins or winners will be up please check the dates listed. I realize I often get them up quickly but the dates are there to give me time to deal with my real life as well.
